Dr.s Pat and Ruth have always been available for my golden and black lab. During the last 9 or more years they helped us through a liter of 11 puppies, mastitis, hip dysplasia and the passing of our lab in old age (not to mention everything in between). Their support staff couldn't be more caring. I have always received in depth information during the visit and when possible, more than one option for treatment. It's a 75 minute round trip drive, but wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
The staff at Scottsville Animal Hospital have been our go-to animal healthcare provider since moving to the area. They truly love animals (unlike some, who seem to be more interested in the money than the outcome for the animal). Over the years, in addition to regular health checks, they have performed life-saving surgeries and procedures, and have been with us for end of life care.
I love brining my animals to the Scottsville Animal Hospital. Our dog Jake is always loved on and my horses Peppy and Dusty receive wonderful care!

I have been seeing Dr Ruth and Doctor Pat for quite some time and the big point is there should be more that's like them. The caring compassion the professionalism of not only them but the entire staff. I seriously would consider going to them to be treated myself because what they don't know they dig and find out. I have never known a practice so dedicated to each and every client and their pets. I've never known a vet that will cry with you is you lose one of your own because your pets are more to you and to them than just an animal they are your children and that's how they see them as well. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave the care and compassion is beyond what anyone can ask for.
Love this vet! The doctors and staff are amazing. Will continue to trust them with my animals.
